There are currently six Simpsons albums, the most recent one of which was released on September 18, 2007. The first, entitled ““The Simpsons Sing the Blues,” was released on December 4, 1990 (and re-issued March 26, 1996 on the Geffen Goldline label). As a follow-up to this release, “The Yellow Album” was recorded in 1992, but postponed for six years. Its long-awaited release made it the third Simpsons album on November 24, 1998. No explanation was ever provided by Geffen Records for the delay.

The second album was a compilation of music from the TV series, released on March 18, 1997 as “Songs in the Key of Springfield: Original Music From The Television Series” (and re-issued on October 19, 1999 in a special box featuring a deluxe jigsaw puzzle). This was followed by a fourth album, “Go Simpsonic With The Simpsons: More Original Music From The Television Series,”, released on November 2, 1999 as a follow-up to “Songs in the Key of Springfield,” after three scheduling postponements.

The Simpsons Movie” soundtrack was the fifth album released on July 21 2007, also released in “limited edition Donut Packaging” on July 31, 2007.

Lastly, the sixth album consisting of another compilation of music from the TV series seasons 11 through 18 was released on September 18, 2007 as “ Simpsons Testify - A Whole Lot More Original Music From The Television Series.

My copy of this record strangely lists on its sleve the tracks seen
on the CD version below, while the record plays (and lists on its
label) the tracks indicated above. Both the sleve and record label
indicate "GEF 87T." Perhaps this was a printing mistake, or there
were two versions of this vinyl and I received one with interchanged
record and sleve. If anyone has a copy of GEF 87T which they could
compare to mine, please send e-mail.

  Bruce Gomes <bruce@simpsonsarchive.com> adds:
My copy has a sleeve that matches the record label--it lists exactly
what the label has. That does confirm that indeed there is a sleeve
with the correct information, but that doesn't really confirm if (1)
there was a printing error that was then corrected or (2) there
exists another album with different cuts.

Test Pressings

Test pressings are very special in that they are only produced in quantities of approximately five or ten, and are never intended to be distributed outside the walls of a record company. Finding one is probably equivilant to winning the lottery.
"The Yellow Album" CD / Geffen 10920 (Test Pressing #1)

    10. Every Summer With You (3:54) *
    11. Anyone Else (4:19) *

  * This test pressing of "The Yellow Album" is the only known source of
these songs at their intended playing speed. All other copies of the
album (including later test pressings, the promotional version and
even the retail version) feature the astrisked tracks sped up
[gratingly] in their tempo and pitch.
† Although this song was never sped up, the audio fades out a few
seconds later than in all other versions of the album, resulting in
    a slightly longer playing time.
‡ Never released to the public. See Collecting Simpsons article.
± Although this song was not sped up, the version on this disc
boasts a small change in dialogue arrangement, resulting in slightly
longer playing time as compared to other versions of the album. As
well, alternate drum, bass and keyboard tracks are present in this
version as compared to the later pressings of the album.
ƒ Includes a lost ending not found on successive versions of the album.
Once the music has mostly faded to complete silence:
Krusty: Wait, wait! We forgot something!
Chorus: A registered trademark of the Krusty Corporation, all
              rights reserved!
