   Second Bananas No More!

Living in the shadow of your older sibling can be hard, but it's even harder when your name is Sideshow Cecil and that sibling is Bart Simpson's vengeance-swearing, psychotic, arch-nemesis Sideshow Bob. Playing second banana to an evil criminal mastermind who formerly played second banana to a clown is about as low as you can get. Aha! But to kill Bart Simpson! To succeed where your more infamous brother failed, that would finally settle the score...or would it? Suppose you chose you own arch-enemy, your brother's foe's sister...Lisa Simpson.

Many children have walked the hallowed halls of Springfield Elementary during its celebrated history, and many a story has yet to be told. Bongo Beat Comic Pros at Comicon by Bill Morrison discusses Radioactive Man winning the Eisner Award for Best Humour Publication.

Effective with this issue we see the third cover design and the first change since Simpsons Comics #40. "Simpsons Comics" is no longer tilted and "Comics" appears within "tiles" (in a style referred to as letter blocks), the character icon on the top left is dropped and the Bongo logo and issue number moves from top right to top left (far more appropriate for displays where the issues are overlapped).

Simpsons Comics #76 Simpsons Comics #76  (Nov 2002)
   Much Ado About Comics!

The Simpsons serve up Shakespeare "bard-boiled" when the PTA and students of Springfield Elementary perform, measure by measure, virtually every one of the Immortal Bard's plays in one midsummer night. From "Romeo and Juliet" to "Julius Caesar" and "Richard III" to "Troilus and Cressida," there will be much ado about nothing as all of Springfield participates in a comedy of errors that proves that all's well that ends...quickly. So get on board as Bart does the Bard.
