The list was a roundtable much like alt.tv.simpsons, but free of the trollers and other riff-raffs. With over a thousand members and up to 100 daily messages at its peak, Simpsons-L was the largest Simpsons discussion list ever in existence.

Simpsons-L was in operation from late 1996 to November 2010. Other means of communication had made mailing lists old-fashioned by then and in the end, there was hardly any traffic.
